One of the country’s leading independent Literary/Arts Centers and public spaces, Beyond Baroque is dedicated to literary and cultural production, contact, interaction, and community building. One of the great forces in modern poetry, Marge Piercy is the Featured Poet in the sixth edition of the San Diego Poetry Annual, due to be published in the spring of 2012.  Piercy has five new poems in 2011-12 annual.  She has taught at San Diego State University. Through her annual workshop in Wellfleet, MA, she has recently guided and directly influenced two San Diego poets, whose work also appears in the new annual.

A giant in modern poetry, Diane Wakoski will be the Featured Poet in the 2012-13 San Diego Poetry Annual, due to be published in the spring of 2013.  Wakoski has three new poems in 2011-12 annual, now in production and scheduled for publication in this April.
