Adrián is a founder of the Chicano/Latino performance poetry collective Taco Shop Poets. Born in Iquique, Chile, he is co-editor of the Taco Shop Poets Anthology: Chorizo Tonguefire (Chorizo Tonguefire Press). His poetry collections include Atacama Poems (City Works Press), The Keeper/El guardador (Editorial La Ratona Cartonera) and Poems of Exhaustion (Parentheses B.C. Press, 2019). He currently works as a professor of English and Creative Writing at Miramar Community College.

is a Chicana poet, educator and author of How To Pull Apart The Earth (Not A Cult, 2018) a 2019 San Diego Book Award winner and awarding-winning finalist for the International Latino Book Award. Recent poems have appeared in the O-Oprah Magazine, NPR, Academy of American Poets, among other publications. Karla is a 2021 California Arts Fellow and Professor in Creative Writing and Composition at MiraCosta College and San Diego City College. Michael organizes the Poetry & Arts Series, ongoing since 2001, and hosted events for the San Diego Art Institute in Balboa Park. He is also the host of the San Diego Central Library’s Conversations with Poets. His newest collection is Anything for a Dull Moment (Garden Oak Press: 2020). Previous books include The Cheapest Flight to Paradise (Puna Press: 2017) and Emma and the Buddha Frog (Puna Press: 2007).

Jason serves as San Diego Poet Laureate 2023-24. Perez is the author of Phenomenology of Superhero (Red Bird Chapbooks, 2016), This is for the mostless (WordTech Editions, 2017), and I ask about what falls away (Kaya Press, 2024). Perez’s work has appeared in Interim, Witness, The Feminist Wire, Marías at Sampaguitas, TLDTD, San Diego Union-Tribune, NPR’s Here & Now, among others. He is a recipient of a Challenge America Grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, previous Artist-in-Residence at the Center for Art and Thought, and current Poet Laureate Fellow with Academy of American Poets. Perez is an Associate Professor of Ethnic Studies at California State University San Marcos.

Ying is an editor of Writers Resist and the Kids! She is the editor of Anuario de Poesía de San Diego, the San Diego Poetry Annual bilingual edition, and a member of San Diego Haiku Study Group. Te invitamos a enviarnos un poema, de preferencia inédito, que no supere una cuartilla, escrito originalmente en español, y su traducción al inglés. (Times New Roman, 12p, espacio sencillo). También en este formato una ficha biográfica, con extensión menor a 5 líneas, del poeta y del traductor/a, en inglés y en español.  Fecha límite de recepción: 30 de septiembre del 2024. La publicación saldrá en marzo del año entrante y se elegirá un poema para mandarlo a concurso por el Pushcart Prize.
