Adrián is a founder of the Chicano/Latino performance poetry collective Taco Shop Poets. Born in Iquique, Chile, he is co-editor of the Taco Shop Poets Anthology: Chorizo Tonguefire (Chorizo Tonguefire Press). His poetry collections include Atacama Poems (City Works Press), The Keeper/El guardador (Editorial La Ratona Cartonera) and Poems of Exhaustion (Parentheses B.C. Press, 2019). He currently works as a professor of English and Creative Writing at Miramar Community College.

is a Chicana poet, educator and author of How To Pull Apart The Earth (Not A Cult, 2018) a 2019 San Diego Book Award winner and awarding-winning finalist for the International Latino Book Award. Jason serves as San Diego Poet Laureate 2023-24. Perez is the author of Phenomenology of Superhero (Red Bird Chapbooks, 2016), This is for the mostless (WordTech Editions, 2017), and I ask about what falls away (Kaya Press, 2024). Perez’s work has appeared in Interim, Witness, The Feminist Wire, Marías at Sampaguitas, TLDTD, San Diego Union-Tribune, NPR’s Here & Now, among others. He is a recipient of a Challenge America Grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, previous Artist-in-Residence at the Center for Art and Thought, and current Poet Laureate Fellow with Academy of American Poets. Te invitamos a enviarnos un poema, de preferencia inédito, que no supere una cuartilla, escrito originalmente en español, y su traducción al inglés. (Times New Roman, 12p, espacio sencillo). También en este formato una ficha biográfica, con extensión menor a 5 líneas, del poeta y del traductor/a, en inglés y en español. Fecha límite de recepción: 30 de septiembre del 2024. La publicación saldrá en marzo del año entrante y se elegirá un poema para mandarlo a concurso por el Pushcart Prize.
